ABT Balometer
By placing an Alnor ABT Balometer Capture Hood over a diffuser or grille, you can measure air volume in order to balance buildings and verify air flow distribution. The easily observed trend values and fast meter response make the ABT Balometer hood the preferred instrument for facility engineers.
EBT Balometer
The Alnor EBT721 Balometer Electronic Balancing Tool features a detachable multi-purpose digital manometer that can be used with a variety of common test and balance tools, such as pitot, air foil, temperature, relative humidity probes or a 16-point velocity matrix. It has become the tool of choice for contractors and facilities personnel because of its ergonomic design and extremely light weight.
The standard EBT721 kit includes 2 ft. x 2 ft. (610 mm x 610 mm) capture hood, base, manometer, pitot tube, static pressure tips, Norprene tubing, and LogDat™ downloading software in a luggage style wheeled carrying case.
LoFlow Balometers
The LoFlo Balometer Capture Hood is the ideal way to measure very low volumetric flow. Confidently and accurately measure supply or return flows from 10 to 500 cfm (17 to 850 m3/h). This light weight instrument is great for residential or light commercial use.
Thermal Anemometers
The Alnor Velometer Thermal Anemometer AVM430 and AVM440 models are like having multiple meters for the price of one, yet they are simple to operate. Purchase instruments with a straight or articulated probe–all in one compact package.
Ideal applications include HVAC system performance, commissioning, plant maintenance, critical environment certification and duct traverses.
Rotating Vane Anemometers
The Alnor RVA501 and RVA801 Rotating Vane Anemometers measure air velocity, air volume, and temperature in English or metric units. The 4-inch (100mm) head automatically averages velocity and volume readings, making the RVA501 and RVA801 essential tools for measuring unevenly distributed or fluctuating flows through heating and cooling coils, diffusers, grilles, and filters. Sweep mode quickly and reliably provides one averaged reading of velocity or volume over a large measurement area.
Velometer Anemometers
Contractors, balancing professionals, plant engineers, and industrial hygienists have preferred Alnor Velometer instruments for decades. They are used for HVAC balancing, face velocity measurement, energy audits, and more. Since these instruments using a swinging vane measuring technique, they do not require a power source or batteries.
The Velometer Jr. Anemometer is a palm-sized meter for fast, accurate air velocity measurements. The meter is compact, direct reading, and requires no attachments. You simply hold it in the air stream and read the displayed velocity measurement on the analog scale.
Air velocity Transducers
The 8455, 8465, and 8475 Air Velocity Transducers are ideal for both temporary and permanent installations for air velocity measurements in research and development labs, manufacturing processes, and other applications. The full–scale range, signal output, and time constant are user selectable and can be easily changed to meet the needs of your application.
Ideal applications include comfort and draft studies, critical environment installations (e.g., clean rooms and hospitals), diffuser design analysis, monitoring drying processes, monitoring air flows in tunnels and subways, used as a standard in wind tunnels and calibration facilities, environmental monitoring in greenhouses and IAQ applications as well as general engineering applications.
AirGuard Air Flow Monitors
The 8455, 8465, and 8475 Air Velocity Transducers are ideal for both temporary and permanent installations for air velocity measurements in research and development labs, manufacturing processes, and other applications. The full–scale range, signal output, and time constant are user selectable and can be easily changed to meet the needs of your application.
AirGard Lab Hood Monitors
Alnor AirGard Lab Hood Monitors indicate safe levels of air flow in laboratory fume hoods. The 200, 335 and 405 Monitors are used to measure and report on exhaust flow in many critical or controlled indoor environments, including pharmaceutical and university laboratories. The AirGard 200 and AirGard 405 Monitors are simple, low-cost options for your monitoring requirements. The AirGard 335 provides the same reliable measurements with added features that make it more versatile. All these models are easy to install, making them an excellent choice for both new installations and retrofits.
Micromanometers
The Alnor AXD610 is an easy to use, handheld digital Micromanometer for fast, accurate and reliable pressure measurement. It can also calculate velocity.
The Alnor AXD620 is a rugged, compact, comprehensive Micromanometer that measures pressure, and calculates velocity and volumetric flow rate. It can be used with Pitot tubes to measure velocity and then calculate flow rates with user–input duct size and shape. Premium features make it ideal for HVAC, environmental safeguards, commissioning, process control and system balancing.
The Alnor EBT720 is one of the most advanced, versatile, and easy-to-use micromanometers on the market today. Auto-zeroing allows you to make measurements throughout the day.
Ideal applications include HVAC commissioning and troubleshooting, testing and balancing, Pitot tube duct traverses, static pressure measurements and differential pressure measurements.
Hydronic Manometers
Facilities containing hydronic (water) systems are typically balanced for terminal flow using differential pressures. Balancing hydronic systems reduces energy consumption and saves money.
The Alnor HM670 and HM680 are used to balance hydronic heating and cooling systems and to check pump performance. Both models can measure and display differential, high side, and low side pressures simultaneously without the need to change hose connections or instrument valve settings.
Indoor Air Quality Meters
Alnor Indoor Air Quality meters help building owners, operators, HVAC contractors, and IAQ consultants solve problems in schools, offices, factories, and hospitals. Indoor environments can be improved by measuring levels of CO2, relative humidity, and temperature.
The Alnor CF910 CO2 Meter is an excellent, cost-effective handheld diagnostic instrument for measuring and monitoring carbon dioxide levels.
The CF920 and CF930 meters simultaneously measure and data log multiple parameters. The CF920 quickly and accurately measures carbon dioxide (CO2), temperature, humidity, and calculates dew point, wet bulb temperature, and % outside air. The CF930 model adds a measurement of carbon monoxide (CO).
Thermohygrometers
Alnor TH710 and TH720 Thermohygrometers are ideal for measuring temperature and humidity. Both include a probe with coiled cable to allow for measurements in hard-to-reach areas such as heating and cooling ducts. They are excellent tools for testing humidity and temperature factors in IAQ studies, manufacturing processes, and storage facilities.
The model TH710 is a base model that can calculate wet bulb and displays average readings along with maximum and minimum values.
The model TH720 calculates wet bulb and dew point, offers data storage of over 12,700 readings and includes LogDat2 software with interface cable for downloading to a PC. The TH720 can also calculate percent of outside air to determine the amount of fresh air entering the building using temperature readings. Up to three measurement parameters can be simultaneously displayed on both the TH710 and TH720 meters.
Combustion Gas Analyzers
Rugged, reliable Alnor Combustion Gas Analyzer kits are available for oil, gas and bio-fuel systems. These affordable, reliable tools supply real-time data for tuning and preventive maintenance monitoring of burners on furnaces, boilers and other heating appliances. Factory-calibrated sensors provide easy field replacement in just minutes. No need to return to the factory for routine service.
Ideal applications include performing critical safety checks, measuring Carbon Monoxide, supplementing preventive maintenance and monitoring NOx output.
